No. A product’s presence on this page is based on our experience with it not whether a company sponsors Double Tap Coalition. While some links may be affiliate links or part of a brand partnership, we only recommend products we personally use, have tested, or would confidently suggest to our students. If we don’t believe in a product, it won’t make this list.

How often is this page updated?

We review and update this page regularly as we test new products, receive feedback from our instructors and students, and identify better options. As new gear earns our recommendation or existing products no longer meet our standards we’ll update this page to reflect those changes.

Are these products beginner friendly?

Many of them are. We’ve organized our recommendations by category and intended use to help you find gear that matches your experience level and training goals. Whether you’re buying your first pair of safety glasses or building a complete training setup, you’ll find recommendations designed for beginners, experienced shooters, and everyone in between.

How do you choose what makes the list?

Every product is evaluated based on the same core principles: reliability, performance, value, ease of use, and real life practicality. We consider our own experience, how the product performs during training, and whether we’d confidently recommend it to a student or family member. Our goal isn’t to recommend the most expensive gear it’s to recommend gear that works.

Can I request a product review?

Absolutely. We’re always looking for products our community wants to learn more about. If there’s a firearm, optic, accessory, training tool, or other piece of equipment you’d like us to evaluate, let us know. While we can’t guarantee every request will become a review, we regularly prioritize products that our students and community are most interested in.
